Liar
Oh, my god. You guys, things with One Ball got worse. I fucking knew that things were going too well. They were bound to fall apart, and they have, in some damn style. It turns out, he’s a liar. A really, really big liar.
Three
One Ball told me that he had three kids. As an anti-child person, I had reservations about embarking on a relationship with someone who had so many responsibilities in tow. They were a long way off being in my life, though. I’d never met them. OB and I were nowhere near close enough to even consider introducing me to his little crew.
Four
In exactly the same way as before, I caught OB out on the lie. He’d mentioned four names during our phone call, which prompted him to admit that he actually had four kids.
I wish that was the end of this saga, but alas, it is most definitely not.
Five
He dropped himself in it… again. And, once again, it was in exactly the same situation: he mentioned yet another name during a phone call, and I pulled him up on it.
That’s when he admitted it:
He has five fucking kids.
Not three. Not four. Five.
This guy just cannot stop lying. What is fucking wrong with him? Maybe I can forgive the first lie: the one where he said that he had three fucking children. But why, WHY, did he lie and say four? Why didn’t he just admit the truth when I caught him out the first time? Why did he have to wait until I’d caught him out AGAIN?
I need to think about this guy now. Properly. Seriously. I like him, but do I like him enough to put up with the lying? It’s pointless lying, too. He had absolutely no reason to lie to me about having five kids. It wouldn’t have fazed me, because they weren’t yet in my life – and if we didn’t make it out of the dating stage, they never would be.
If he’s willing to lie to me about how many kids he has, what else do you think he’ll be happy lying to me about? I dread to think.
It was all going so well.
SIGH.
