My Dating Life

Stalker.

Ladies and gentlemen, I appear to have bagged myself a stalker. Remember I told you a while back about the believed accidental friend request sent via Facebook of the ex from ten years ago – The Married Guy? Well, apparently he’s back on the scene. Or at least he’s trying to be.

A little while ago, I got another friend request. This one, unlike the last one, didn’t get deleted right away. He sent that friend request and he meant to. I deleted the request after a couple of days of thinking about it, and I messaged him:

“So, what’s up with the friend requests?”

He didn’t respond. Instead, a couple of days later, he sent another friend request, which I once again deleted.

A few days later, I was out with Someone New and my phone vibrated. I took a peek – a Facebook notification. Another godamn friend request from The Married Guy. What the fuck is he playing at?

What the fuck is going on?

I confided in Someone New because I didn’t really have a choice seeing as he was there and saw it, and I told him as much as he needed to know…

Ten years ago I was the other woman, I fell in love a little bit and I got blindsided. He screwed me over. I never heard from him again. Until the weird friend requests started.

He asked me something that I hadn’t even considered…

“Do you think it could be his wife?”

Why hadn’t that even occurred to me? I don’t think it is the wife, it’s all a little too random for that, don’t you think? If it were his wife, wouldn’t she have a lot more to say? Secondary to that, why would it be his wife? Why, ten years later, would she have this great fascination for me? It’s hardly something I can imagine coming up so many years later. What would be the point? He’s hardly going to spill the beans about something that happened ten years ago, is he? And she’s hardly going to find out. All the people that would have known have all moved away to other places and times, with families of their own. That affair all those years ago was stupid and insignificant. Well, it was to him. It hurt me more than I care to admit sometimes.

But seriously though, why would he be his wife? I know girls can be a little crazy from time to time, but isn’t that a brand new level of crazy? Just randomly friend requesting an ex-lover of your husbands, from over a decade ago? It’s not something I would, I’m just saying. And I’m a pretty crazy girl.

It seems much more rational to me that this guy is just being nosey, checking me out after all these years. Maybe he saw me the first time he ‘accidentally’ friend-requested me and couldn’t get me out of his head? I quite like the thought of that. It’s quite sick to find happiness and solace in the fact that you’re screwing with a man’s head without even needing to be in his life, right? Good. I’m glad I’m fucking with him. I hope I pop up in his head while he tries to bang his wife. He left me heartbroken at 18 years old. He was the cliche married guy who would NEVER leave his wife. I learned my lesson while he got away with it. Maybe he’s paying for it right now? Maybe I’m messing with his head? Doesn’t karma always get it right in the end? Maybe this is his karma? He’s seen a piece of me and he likes it? Now he wants another little bit of it?

I’m not tooting my own horn here, but why else would he do it? Not respond to my messages but just send me creepy friends requests every few days? And we’re talking like four, maybe even five friend requests now. And they have all bar one been in the last couple of weeks. Creepy as fuck, right? They can’t be accidental friend requests every time surely? No one is that stupid?!

I still don’t get it though. He won’t message me back, instead choosing to send multiple, creepy friend requests. If he does it again, I’ll just block him. I just wanna see if he’s sad and desperate enough to do it again. What do you think?

To be fair, it’s been a while since I last had a stalker. Maybe I should find it flattering? Fucking weirdo. Keep stalking me you asshole, you deserve the torture.

Stalker.
